Mother's Day gifts

I have been looking for a unique way to display pictures to give to the grandma's for Mother's Day. I feel like I always just give 'another picture' & I wanted these to be different. My cute neighbor/friend,at Inblue.com, took our family pictures this last fall. She does an amazing job.
I made some vinyl for a girl that had a booth at our local craft fair & she had this adorable idea. I cut 4x4 blocks 4" long. I modge podged different colors/patterns of scrapbook paper on all the sides (except the bottom) & on the front I modge podged a picture of each of my girls. This was not a last minute idea, but I waited until the last minute to make them. We live in a small town & I knew we had a couple of photo booths, so on my Saturday errand list, was to go get some pictures printed. I went to the photo booth & it was OUT OF ORDER. I figured that our scrapbook/picture place probably could print them pretty fast. But when I get there I see... CLOSED ON SATURDAY. WHAT!?? I asked around & found out the grocery store had one. Getting nervous, as it was about 9 P.M. the night before Mother's Day, I get to the grocery store only to find another OUT OF ORDER booth. What was I going to do? Why do I wait til the last minute to these things? I decided that if I was going to make them, I would have to see if my printer could do the job. I actually think it may have worked better than if I was to use 'photo pictures'.

After the modge podge dried overnight, I tied them all together with ribbon & beads. (The top picture I was trying to get a shot of the scrapbook paper & didn't realize the bow wasn't straightened...Oops).
I thought they turned out adorable & they were a hit for the grandma's. I think I will make some for each of my girls now. :)
